Amy Parker Lawson
MSN, APRN, FNP-C, Functional Medicine Practitioner
​Amy is a highly accomplished Family Nurse Practitioner, holding a Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University (2023) and certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She graduated with Presidents’ Honors with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2022) and magna cum laude with an A.S. in Nursing from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences (2006). Amy also holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Montreat College (1999), where she excelled in collegiate soccer.

With a background rooted in critical care, Amy spent 13 years in cardiovascular intensive care, becoming board-certified in critical care by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN). Transitioning to hospice care while homeschooling her son, Amy achieved certification as a Certified Hospice & Palliative Nurse (CHPN).

Fueled by a passion for health and wellness, Amy obtained certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in 2020. She completed functional medicine training at the Kresser Institute of Functional Medicine and Evolutionary Medicine, and is an ADAPT Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner. Amy continues to expand her expertise in functional medicine to address the root causes of disease by becoming a member of the International Society of Environmentally Acquired Illness (ISEAI). She shares ISEAI's mission to reduce the human suffering caused by environmentally acquired illnesses through clinical practice, education, and research.

Amy brings 19 years of patient care experience, compassion, and a commitment to uncovering the underlying causes of illness. Her holistic approach emphasizes diet, lifestyle, stress management, sleep, and movement to enhance health and prevent chronic disease complications. Amy finds joy in health coaching, empowering clients to achieve their health goals.
Amy's personal health journey, navigating post-childbirth challenges, led her to functional medicine. Overcoming exhaustion, brain fog, weight gain, and chronic pain, she regained vitality. Grateful for her health challenges, Amy is dedicated to supporting women facing similar struggles.
Amy is a dedicated advocate for health and wellness, focusing on the serious issue of mold toxicity. Recently, Amy and her family faced challenges related to mycotoxin exposure in their home, which sparked her commitment to understanding and addressing this critical health concern.
To deepen her knowledge and effectively navigate her family’s situation, Amy has joined a mentorship program led by renowned experts in mold and chronic disease, Dr. Neil Nathan and Dr. Jill Crista. Through this program, she aims to equip herself with the tools and insights necessary to combat mold toxicity and promote a healthier living environment.

Amy is passionate about sharing her journey and educating others about mold-related health issues, believing that knowledge and community support are essential in overcoming these challenges.

A rare native Charlestonian, Amy resides in James Island with her husband, son and four-legged fur babies, enjoying nature, beach outings, and cheering on her son in baseball. Faith is integral to her life, and she actively participates in community activities at her church.
